Liverpool-based advertising agency Poke Marketing has unleashed its inner beast in its debut collaboration with Knowsley Safari, promoting an action-packed summer of family fun at the North West’s top wildlife attraction.
The campaign spotlights Camp Knowsley, an immersive outdoor adventure running throughout the month of August. Designed to educate, inspire, and entertain, the programme features hands-on activities such as traditional fire lighting with flint and steel, survival bracelet making, Stone Age tool crafting, shelter building, camp cooking, and wilderness first aid.
Poke Marketing produced a dynamic 30-second radio ad, voiced by former Radio City and Hits Radio presenter Leanne Campbell, alongside a suite of outdoor and digital creatives, including bus super-sides, rail interior panels, digital 48-sheets, and social media content.
“Poke Marketing is delighted to work alongside Knowsley Safari for this summer campaign,” said Nicola Docking, managing director and co-founder of the agency. “Voted one of the North West’s most loved attractions on TripAdvisor, our team went truly ‘wild’ with ideas to create an engaging, memorable campaign.”
Knowsley Safari spans 550 acres and is home to close to 1,000 animals. Its five-mile safari drive, divided into 11 zones covering Europe and Eurasia, Asia and Africa, is currently home to over 750 fascinating animals, from baboons to camels, wildebeest to rhinos, all of which you can take in from the comfort of your own car (and there’s a route that bypasses the baboons for those who are attached to their windscreen wipers). Camp Knowsley runs until 31 August.
Highly commeded at the 2025 Prolific North Creative Awards, Poke Marketing has previously delivered standout campaigns for well known bodies, landmarks and associations Liverpool Cathedral, Alder Hey Children’s Charity, Professional Liverpool, the English Football League, the National Football Museum, and Gateway Angels.
