Online compliance training provider, Virtual College, has appointed Laura Cooper as marketing director.
Cooper, who has worked within the company for two and a half years having joined as head of marketing in late 2023, brings extensive marketing experience to the role, and will lead the company’s marketing function as it continues to expand its compliance training offering across key sectors.
The appointment comes as regulatory pressure on organisations continues to grow but UK training provisions are simultaneously declining, exposing a gap between compliance expectations and real-world delivery.

Cooper said of the appointment, “I’m delighted to step into the role of marketing director at Virtual College at an important time for the business. As organisations face increasing regulatory and safeguarding responsibilities, there is a growing need for accessible, high-quality compliance training that genuinely supports learners in real-world situations.
“I’m looking forward to building on the strong foundations already in place, strengthening our brand presence, and continuing to deliver impactful campaigns that highlight the necessity and accessibility of compliance across sectors.”
In her new role, Cooper will focus on driving awareness of compliance training as a core business priority, while deepening relationships with existing customers and strengthening strategic partnerships.
Judith Clarkson, UK corporate and operations director, at Virtual College, added, “I’m positive Laura will continue to drive our marketing department going forwards. She is a highly accomplished marketeer with over 20 years of experience and has consistently demonstrated her ability to deliver high quality results.”
