107.6 Juice FM has become Aintree Racecourse’s official radio partner for the John Smith’s Grand National Festival.

“The Grand National, like Juice, is a Liverpool institution and the biggest event in the sporting and social calendar for the city. To be Official Radio Partner of the festival is fantastic for Juice and I’m really looking forward to working with the team at Aintree and having a bit of fun on air in both the build up and at the festival itself,” said Juice FM station director, Graham Sarath.

It will see the Liverpool radio station hosting a stage at the opening day of the meet, for which it’s already booked acts including, The Saturdays.

“I’m delighted to be able to confirm this relationship with such an important radio station for Liverpool. We wanted to add something new to the race experience across all three days and together with The Saturdays on Grand Opening Day we see Juice FM as the perfect station to do just that,” said John Baker, regional director of Jockey Club Racecourses.

Last year 154,000 people attended the 3-day festival, with an estimated spend of £10m across the Merseyside economy.
