Jaywing founder, Martin Boddy, has joined an international seed business as non-Executive Chairman.
Boddy will help Blackburn-based G Plants to oversee the next phase of the company’s growth.
“I’m thrilled to have someone of Martin’s calibre and profile involved in the business. His collaborative style is a perfect fit for the business as is the commercial, marketing, eCommerce and M&A experience he brings to the board,” said Alex Reihl G Plants Director.
Boddy left Jaywing in 2020 to pursue other interests and is non-Executive Chairman of Space48, Money Alive and 6B Digital.
“I’m excited to be joining G Plants at a time when the interest and participation in gardening is at an all-time high. From an ESG perspective, its positive impact on mental health, sustainability and the environment is something I’m delighted to be associated with,” added Boddy.
G Plants said that it had experienced “explosive” growth over the last 2 years.
