ITV is to air a special tribute programme to the late Cilla Black tonight, three days after the Liverpool-born entertainer was found dead at her home in Spain.
The broadcaster is adapting The One and Only Cilla Black, an ITV Studios-produced documentary which aired two years ago to mark Black’s half-century in showbusiness.
The special was first aired in 2013
The one-hour documentary will feature an opening tribute from Black’s long-time friend Paul O’Grady, who hosted the original special.
ITV4 will also air the first episode of Sheridan Smith’s three-part series Cilla, which was one of the most acclaimed and watched dramas of 2014.
The remaining episodes will air on Wednesday and Thursday nights at 10.40pm.
