Industry speakers revealed for Prolific North’s Tech Companies to Watch event

We are delighted to reveal a number of industry experts from across the tech and investment world will be speaking at Prolific North’s Tech Companies to Watch event.

The event, sponsored by The Candidate and Sedulo, will be hosted on October 19th at Bruntwood SciTech’s Circle Square in Manchester where we will be celebrating a fresh wave of remarkable start-ups poised for success.

Before the list is revealed, Hazel Savage, VP Music Intelligence at SoundCloud, will be joining us on the night as a speaker to talk about AI’s impact on music.

Following an exclusive reveal of the list, which has been compiled by the editorial team at Prolific North, there will also be a special panel on start-up investment issues. It will feature leaders including David Levine, Principal at Manchester Angels; Laura Sisson, Investment Manager at YFM; Mo Aldalou, Programme Director at Baltic Ventures; and Sim Singh-Landa, Investment Director at Praetura Ventures.

Sim Singh-Landa commented: “Events like this are essential for the North’s ecosystem. Our research last year found 57% of North of England founders suggest success stories from their own region inspired them to start their own company, this response was more common in Northern founders than any other region. Championing our current and future break out businesses is crucial for the future of the North’s growing ‘scale up’ brand on the global stage. Celebrating our stars now will help fuel ideas in the next generation.”

The event will be an unmissable evening for anyone with an interest in the early-stage sector, from investors to founders, to network and share experiences. Places are limited so sign up for your free spot to attend here.
