Harrogate based IDHL Group has undertaken its first acquisition since its management buyout in June.
It said the acquisition of Leeds-based Magento agency Pinpoint Designs Ltd “significantly extends IDHL’s capabilities”.
More than 250,000 brands use the Magento eCommerce platform, and the acquisition of Pinpoint enables the Group to become part of Magento’s global ecosystem of 150,000 developers and over 300 solution partners.
Managing director Lewis Sellers will continue with Pinpoint Designs, which has 15 staff overall, as the business “leverages the Group’s capabilities”.
IDHL CEO Dennis Engel said “We’re delighted to welcome Pinpoint Designs into the Group. This extends our product portfolio and ability to service our clients’ ever-broadening needs.
“We are looking forward to helping Pinpoint continue and expedite its current organic growth. IDHL Group is primed to couple its infrastructure with the technical expertise and reputation that Pinpoint brings.”
Pinpoint MD, Lewis Sellers, added: “We are really looking forward to accelerating our growth with the help of IDHL. They have strong infrastructure and a platform that can really benefit an agency like ours.”
The IDHL Group, the biggest independent digital agency in the North, comprises WMG, Ingenuity Digital and NetConstruct, and has over 120 staff.
Senior management completed the MBO in June, valuing the business at £30million.
