“I like to live dangerously” – First look at Victoria Wood documentary

UKTV’s U&GOLD has released the trailer for its feature length documentary film about Victoria Wood.

Becoming Victoria Wood features tributes from Dawn French & Jennifer Saunders, Maxine Peake and Michael Ball as they reflect on her as a person and her legacy.

Directed by Catherine Abbott (Imagine: The Academy of Armando), it’s produced by Rogan Scotland, part of Rogan Productions, in association with Phil McIntyre TV and distributed by Dartmouth Films.

The 90 minute celebration looks at one of the country’s most cherished entertainers, whose work reshaped British humour.

However, it also looks at the young woman off stage, navigating insecurity, anger, and self-doubt.

It’s told in her own words and by those who knew her best and features rarely seen archive and previously unheard audio recordings, such as her beloved scrapbooks and first ever recorded performance from 1973.

Becoming Victoria Wood will air in February on U&GOLD, following a nationwide theatrical release on 9th January.
