How you can get involved with Digital City Festival 2021

This year’s Digital City Festival returns on April 12th – 23rd, celebrating digital innovation on a global scale over two weeks in April.

DCF will once again celebrate the brilliance of the digital industry – covering tech, creative, commerce, media and more, while asking important questions about the future and how technology will shape it.

Following enormous success in 2020, this year’s festival will be hosted in a truly digital fashion, taking place on the Digital City Network, an all-new dedicated platform featuring an online exhibition and solutions showcase, live-streamed keynotes, masterclasses, live Q&As, roundtables, seminars and more.

There’s a range of ways you can be involved in this year’s Digital City Festival, both as an individual professional and on behalf of your organisation.

Register to attend Digital City Festival

Registration is open to join the Digital City Network and gain access to two weeks of live events hosted online.

During the April 2021 festival and beyond, the free-to-join Digital City Network will bring the global digital community together in one place, providing an unmissable opportunity for collaboration and learning.

Click here to register, and get the opportunity to access the online exhibition and a wide range of talks during the two-week festival in April, as well as continued access beyond the end of the fortnight.

There will also be a host of events taking place throughout the two weeks, which you can gain access to through the Digital City Network.

Sponsor or exhibit at the festival

There are a wide range of opportunities to support the festival and appear on the Digital City Network. The Network will feature international digital pioneers from across specialisms and be visited by thousands of influential decision makers at the festival.

Sponsors at Digital City Festival have the opportunity to align themselves with some of the leading innovations shaping the national and global economy throughout 2021 and beyond – while leading the conversation around a selection of current topics.

It also provides the opportunity to reach an engaged and specialised audience, and tap into a hub of entrepreneurs, managers, influencers and business owners, not to mention ambitious professionals on the rise.

There is also the chance to exhibit on the Digital City Network and make new connections at a time when face-to-face meetings and industry events are, for the moment, impossible.

Those exhibiting will get the chance to pitch to a global audience, and benefit from collaboration with like-minded individuals and organisations.

Awards are spread across prizes for Innovations, Projects and Platforms; awards for Team and Business; and Individual awards.

Entries are open now with the early bird period coming to an end on January 31st. Before this date, there is a saving on the entry fee for all submissions. What’s more, as well as entries in the Not-for-profit category being free, all organisations who submit two entries will receive an additional free submission. To learn how to enter, click here.

Nominate yourself or a colleague for an individual Digital City Award

The deadline for making a nomination for Young Digital Leader of the Year and Digital Leader of the Year is on January 31st. These two awards are looking for the role models from the digital world, and are free to enter either for yourself or a colleague you believe is making a difference in the sector.

The winners will be revealed at the Digital City Awards on April 15th, and will be decided by a combination of the influential judging panel and a public vote, which will be launched soon after the deadline. To make a free nomination, you’ll need an overview or biography, up to 800 words on why you or they deserve to win, a headshot, and a brief summary. Learn more here.

Pitch your talk or event

Digital City Festival will host a wide range of talks across its two weeks, on the Digital City Network. Applications are now open to pitch to join the programme, to form a curated lineup of events.

Suggestions are particularly welcome on topics surrounding mental health, diversity and inclusion, tech for good, ethics in tech and design, and the shifting nature of media, among others.

Organisers are also planning a programme of arts and cultural events, ranging from talent showcases to interactive experiences. Pitches are also welcome for relevant events in this space.
