ownIbiza Weekender star and Celebrity Big Brother Season 23 winner David Potts is joining Manchester-HQ’d Gaydio for a special drivetime takeover show this May Bank Holiday.
He’ll be bringing his infectious energy to the airwaves with a handpicked playlist of his ultimate Bank Holiday bangers, as the nation eases out of the long weekend. Expect big tunes and plenty of laughs, as he chats about his favourite pop divas and reflects on his previous TV highlights.
Potts will also be sharing his hacks for surviving the party weekend, which he’s perfectly honed from his days in the heart of Ibiza’s party scene on Ibiza Weekender.

Since the success of Ibiza Weekender, David has continued to appear across entertainment shows and related digital projects, including his 2024 podcast series. He later went on to win over audiences again on Celebrity Big Brother, and is set to appear on Celebs Go Dating, continuing a run of high-profile TV appearances that have cemented his status as a recognisable and much-loved reality TV star.
Potts said: “I literally live for a bank holiday weekend! So getting to soundtrack one on Gaydio is just unreal. I’ll be bringing nothing but big gay bangers, from Lady Gaga to Britney Spears, plus iconic tracks from Cher, Rihanna and loads more. Whether you’re still going to be in party mode or trying to give yourself some energy for the first day back, I’ve got you covered. It’s going to be such a laugh.”
Kriss Herbert, content director at Gaydio, added: “David is exactly the kind of personality you want soundtracking a Bank Holiday so we’re so excited to have him taking over Gaydio. We know our listeners are going to love the energy he’ll be bringing to the station. What could anyone want more on a bank holiday than the anthems that Gaydio are famous for, plus David’s iconic humour.”
David Potts’ Bank Holiday drivetime takeover is on Gaydio on Monday 4th May from 4pm–7pm. Gaydio is on air 24/7 – you can listen to the station on FM in Manchester and Brighton, and on DAB in cities across the UK through connected devices.
