GAS Music has supplied the soundtrack for the current KFC “Colonel’s Arms” campaign, starring Jimmy Bullard and the inimitable Colonel Sanders.

The campaign saw KFC take over its very first pub, the Colonel’s Arms in Hammersmith, formerly better known as the Old Suffolk Punch public house, and install former Wigan Athletic and Fulham footballer, and Soccer AM host, Jimmy Bullard as landlord.

Alas the pub, which offered KFC delivery to your table as well as big screen World Cup action and table football, was a sold-out, limited stunt which has already closed its doors to the public, but the campaign lives on online, fronted by Bullard, as well as in KFC’s merchandise store, where fans can pick up Colonel’s Arms-themed beer mats, bottle openers and more.

MediaCityUK-based GAS Music provided a UK grime / drill track and attention grabbing sound design to go alongside Bullard’s high-energy presenting style with a number of bespoke compositions made to fit this brief. The ad’s main composition was compiled using MIDI and samples, with the sound design comprising of a mixture of samples and foley.

The ad was created in partnership with Social Chain, and the GAS Music team described the project as “all-in-all, a lot of fun.”
