Former Matmi director joins Trunk

Manchester agency Trunk has appointed ex-Matmi director Nathan Broadbent as its new head of creative technology.

Broadbent brings years of experience in games development, gamification and mobile app development to the Ancoats-based agency, and counts Playstation, Alton Towers and Barclays as previous clients.

He’s also worked in emerging technologies including augmented reality, virtual reality and immersive experiences, iBeacons, near field communication (NFC) protocols and radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology.

Adam Britton, managing director of Trunk, said: “We’re working in such a fast-paced environment, it’s crucial that our technical competency is always one step ahead. The capability of our personal devices changes on a daily basis, bringing new and innovative ways to engage customers.

“Nathan’s appointment allows us to cement our technical offering and his vast experience will add strength to our skills in this area.”

Broadbent said: “The opportunity to take Trunk’s creative ideas and bring them to life in the most innovate of ways was one I couldn’t refuse.”

Trunk has worked with brands including Morrisons, Mersey Rail and Paddy Power.
