Former ITV Good Morning Britain, Tyne Tees and GB News North of England reporter turned freelance broadcaster Rachel Sweeney has joined Newsquest Media Group.
Announcing the news on LinkedIn, Sweeney said: “NORTHUMBERLAND: I’ve never been scared to pull my wellies on and get into the thick of it to help farmers have their voices heard. Supported by my friend Bruce Jobson, I’ve even broken a few stories myself. I’m over the moon that I have more of this coming up with Newsquest Media Group Ltd. Id be grateful if you could pass any Northumberland contacts my way – farmers/agricultural industry. Always looking for general news too. Now, where are my thermals!!”
North East-based Sweeney revealed in 2023 that she was going freelance with her own business, Rachel Sweeney Media Limited, and also lists film production, VO artist and media trainer among her many talents on her biog.
