Danny Emmett, the former Group Chief Operating Officer at AO World plc and CEO of Cloud Nine, has joined Ultra LEDS.
The Trafford Park firm supplies commercial and architectural lighting.
Emmett’s new role is described as a “significant step” in its strategic growth plan, as he will lead its digital transformation and ecommerce, as it seeks to expand its client base internationally.
“Danny’s appointment reflects our commitment to building a high-performance, customer-led organisation ready for accelerated growth,” said Tom Ralston, Chief Executive Officer of Ultra LEDs.
“His proven expertise in scaling dynamic, fast-growing businesses will be instrumental as we expand our offering and continue to deliver exceptional value to our customers.”
Emmett joined AO as a Senior Commercial Analyst in 2009, rising through the ranks to become Group Chief Operating Officer in 2019. During his tenure he had responsibility for commercial operations, supply chain and was involved in the £38m acquisition of Mobile Phones Direct.
In 2023, he moved to Harrogate-based Cloud Nine Hair, where he was CEO.
