Manchester-based scale-up Flowd, has announced expansion plans into the US and targeted £3.9m revenue for 2024 after a busy 2023.

The fast-growing marketing brand, co-founded by Mitchell Clayton and Ashleigh Holmes has grown its headcount by 300% to 30 over the course of the year, with ex-Social Chain and current Fearless Adventures co-founder Dominic McGregor perhaps the highest profile appointment, and doubled revenues to around £1.4m over the same period according to its latest accounts.

Flowd, which was named as New Agency to Watch at this year’s Prolific North Champions Awards, is now forecasting revenues of £3.9m in 2024 without external investment to date, and aims to open the company’s first US office in Q2, while increasing group headcount from 30 to 52 staff over the next 12 months.

Mitchell Clayton, CEO, said: “The past 12 months has been a real stand out year for us from a performance-perspective. Whilst the wider market has suffered, we have continued to thrive and have delivered strong revenue and profit growth. The business is now focused on our expansion into the US and opening our 3rd international office.”

Flowd’s current client list includes JustEat, VEED, Axonify and AX, but Clayton explained that recent growth has been driven by international work, particularly from the US, which now accounts for 12% of its entire revenue.
