A Finnish company specialising in software solutions to streamline project management processes has brought its new UK base to The Landing at MediaCityUK.
Keto Software provides project management tools for large organisations, and attributes its success to its ability to combine both Agile and Waterfall, project management styles which which are traditionally used separately.
Gavin Stark (pictured), UK sales manager at Keto Software, said: “By moving to Greater Manchester, we have found a great business base with relatively low costs to run a UK-wide office. The direct flights between Manchester and our Helsinki-based HQ make us appreciate being part of the sector’s international community.
“We’re a global company with clients worldwide and moving to The Landing at MediaCityUK in June was an exciting and obvious choice. We chose Greater Manchester as we wanted to be at the centre of the UK’s creative and digital industry.
The company’s client base ranges across retail, science, manufacturing and the public sector, and customers include Boots, HM Revenue & Customs, Sellafield and Tata.
Its software has over 150.000 users globally and also operates in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Tim Newns, chief executive, MIDAS, said Keto’s arrival showed that the region’s creative, digital and tech sector “continues to be a strong draw for international companies”.
He added: “The collaborative nature of The Landing gives companies like Keto Software and other creative and tech SMEs better connectivity to large companies within the industry.
“Being at the heart of Europe’s largest purpose-built creative hub provides access to the supply chain, and they are now more accessible to clients and industry peers globally. Greater Manchester is continuing to make substantial investments into state-of-the-art facilities for the sector, which will further cement the region’s reputation as a leading tech destination.
“MIDAS looks forward to seeing Keto Software go from strength to strength in the region and that the ability to better serve their client base and access new markets supports their continued growth.”
The new base will be staffed by just Stark initially but there are plans for a recruitment drive over the next six to 12 months.
