England semi final win over Sweden attracts 11.3m viewers to BBC’s TV and digital channels

England’s 4-0 semi-final victory over world number two-ranked Sweden pulled in a peak audience of 11.3 million on BBC One and the BBC’s digital outlets last night.

TV viewers for the commanding win in Sheffield, featuring goals from Lucy Bronze, Beth Mead, Fran Kirby and an audacious backheel by Alessia Russo, peaked at 9.3m on BBC One, while live coverage on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website attracted a further 2m streams.

The second semi-final between Germany and France is live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 7.30pm this evening.

The Women’s Euros final at Wembley Stadium featuring England and Germany or France will be on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 4.00pm on Sunday.
