Disney+ reveals more about new series of Welcome To Wrexham

The third season of the Emmy-winning Welcome To Wrexham is set to air in May on Disney+.

The premiere of the 8-part FX series will be on May 3rd in the UK, with two shows on that date, followed by a new episode each week.

It will continue the unlikely journey of the 3rd oldest professional football club in the world and its partnership with owners and actors Rob McElhenney (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) and Ryan Reynolds (“Deadpool”).

The docuseries recently won the Emmy for Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program.

After 15 seasons in the National League, this latest instalment will show their first season in League Two and (spoiler alert) back-to-back promotion to League One.

It will also feature its Women’s Team, which secured promotion to the Welsh Adran Premier League.

Welcome to Wrexham is executive produced by McElhenney, Reynolds, Josh Drisko, Bryan Rowland, Jeff Luini, Humphrey Ker, Nick Frenkel, George Dewey and Boardwalk Pictures’ Andrew Fried, Dane Lillegard, Sarina Roma, and Andy Thomas. “

It’s produced by More Better Productions, Maximum Effort Productions, 3 Arts Entertainment and Boardwalk Pictures.
