SysGroup

Adam Binks has been promoted to CEO of managed IT services and cloud hosting providers SysGroup PLC.

Binks joined Liverpool-headquartered SysGroup in 2014 as chief operating officer and was appointed to the board in 2017. He will lead SysGroup through its next stage of growth, incorporating strategic acquisitions and continued organic growth.

“We are delighted that Adam has accepted the CEO position,” said Michael Edelson, who will resume his position as non-executive chairman. “He has been an important member of the team for a number of years and has played a pivotal role in the development of the company.

“Since his appointment to the board, Adam has made significant progress across the entire Group and we have been impressed with his strategic vision and leadership capabilities. His proven leadership and experience in IT combined with forward-thinking vision and unwavering commitment to the company’s growth, made him the natural choice to assume this role.

“The board has full confidence that Adam will realise the market opportunity for SysGroup as a managed services provider, leading the team through the next stage of growth.”

Binks added: “Having worked with SysGroup for some time now and being involved in a long list of recent developments and achievements, I am thrilled to step into the CEO role.

“This is an exciting time for the company and I am committed to leading the team to drive further growth and continue our journey to expand our managed services offering.”

The appointment comes after SysGroup recorded a sales pipeline growth of 17.1% in its half year results, which were published in September 2017, as well as the acquisition of managed IT, hosting and security services company Rockford IT.
