James Milner joins Twitter and spoofs himself

Without ever being on Twitter, James Milner has a massive international following, thanks mainly to the spoof account BoringMilner, which has more than half a million followers.
So, when the Liverpool midfielder joined up yesterday, it had to be a well thought through Tweet to compete with his alter-ego.
In just a few hours, that single Tweet has brought him 107k followers, 28k retweets and 98k likes.
It’s a more impressive start than some of his fellow footballers, Harry Kane’s bizarre: “Zombiesss ! Too much !” or Wayne Rooney mistaking Twitter for text with “Hi rio do u want picking up in the morning pal.”
