Learn more about payment technologies with Fast
The opening talk on the Keynote Stage at Digital City Expo this year will be hosted by the Co-founder of Headline Partner Fast, Domm Holland. He’ll discuss with retailers the importance of payment technology, and explain why getting it right means mastering the customer journey.
This talk starts at 10am on March 9th and builds on the modern understanding that payment tech is significantly important for retailers who want to stay on top of consumer trends.
At 12pm the same day in the Ecommerce Masterclass Theatre, Fast’s VP of Sales UK Michael Schirrmacher will explore how mastery over the checkout process can unlock potential benefits both online and offline.
Integrating tech and retail with Adyen
Leading payment processing firm Adyen will also be sharing unique insights on success in ecommerce and the new customer journey after COVID.
At 12pm on March 9th in the Keynote Theatre Adyen’s Maša Prastalo will talk alongside David Meakin of BigCommerce and Luigi Moccia of Calashock about selecting the right tech partners to ensure a retailer’s online sales process is fast, easy, and efficient. They’ll share how their collaboration has built better ecommerce experiences for both sellers and consumers.
The following day, at 10:20am in the Ecommerce Masterclass Theatre, two leading figures from Adyen – Josh Taylor and Greg Cockroft – are set to discuss with retailers how the customer journey has shifted after one of the most drastic changes in consumer behaviour after the pandemic.
A focus on customer experience
ThinkTRIBE ensures user journeys are fast and error-free, and its CEO Deri Jones will be appearing at 11:10am on March 10th in the Ecommerce Masterclass Theatre to look at why customer experience is the “final battleground and the final differentiator”, now unique products and services are no longer likely.
In this important talk for ambitious retailers reviewing their positioning, Jones will be explaining how to make CX optimal while driving constant transformation.
Headline Partner Klaviyo will also be hosting leaders from Manchester-based fashion brand The Couture Club, with Senior Director of Customer Success Ben Miller appearing with Couture Club MD Scott Shashua and Creative Director Ross Worswick to discuss building positive relationships with customers.
Understanding sustainability and consumer psychology
The Fjord Trends are an important piece of annual research into what’s coming next for business, tech and design. 2022’s Fjord Trends identify five areas having a big impact – one of which is the importance of sustainability and responsible consumption – and retailers can expect to gain a great deal from understanding them.
Andrew Finlayson, Experience Architect at Accenture Interactive, will explore this ‘new fabric of life’ in a Keynote talk taking place at 2pm on March 10th.
Sustainability and future trends will also be the focus of a talk in the Digital Masterclass Theatre, hosted by the Data & Marketing Association. Scott Logie of Read Group will provide insights on how consumers’ behaviour is changing, and how a sustainable future can provide real value for brands.
Finally, Darren Teague of Pure360 will be giving retailers and other attendees an in-depth understanding of using behavioural science in your marketing strategy. He’ll explain how to use it to increase conversion rates and revenue, through understanding how people make decisions and rationalise and then ‘nudging’ them in the right direction.
On top of all this content and more, retailers attending Digital City Expo at Manchester Central next week will get the unmissable opportunity to meet a wide range of specialists offering marketing, tech and ecommerce solutions.
