CreativeRace takes lead to promote The Midlands


Leeds-based CreativeRace, has been brought in to lead multichannel communications for The Midlands Engine.

The organisation is a coalition of Councils, Combined Authorities, Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEP), Universities and businesses, which are coming together to establish the region as a leader in UK economic growth.

CreativeRace will support this, with communications across OOH, digital, print, PR and social.

“We conducted a robust search across the UK to find the best team to lead this incredibly important campaign.  CreativeRace gave us a winning combination of a strong understanding of the Midlands’ region’s traditional and digital media channels, and importantly, a very clear view on communication with external markets, at home and abroad,” explained Sir John Peace, Midlands Engine Chairman.

“That, combined with their very obvious enthusiasm and passion for our brief and the mission at hand made our decision clear when it came to selecting our new partner.”

Gordon Bethell, Chairman of CreativeRace added:

“CreativeRace has a firm interest in the Midlands Engine objectives as we feel very much part of the story as we have a history of working with clients who have significant portfolio footprint across the region, such as Halfords, as well as leading important initiatives for clients headquartered directly in the area today, like Derby Council and NFU Mutual.  This project has seen our team work not only across channel, but with a huge array of incredible partner organisations and businesses from across the region itself.”
