Manchester-based Co-operative Bank has announced more than 100 new jobs for IT and digital specialists at its base in the North West.

Roles are open to applicants with all levels of experience and prior experience in IT or financial services is not essential for all roles. T

A special ‘open doors’ event will be held on Wednesday 8 May in the centre of Manchester, where prospective candidates can find out more and chat with current employees and leaders in the Bank. This will be the first of a series of events where people can get more information about the opportunities available.

The Co-operative Bank is transforming its IT and digital capabilities as part of a multi-million pound five-year investment plan.

Mark Record, IT and Change Director, said: “Our heritage as part of the co-operative movement here in the heart of Manchester, and our customer-led ethical policy sets us apart from other banks and financial service providers.

“Building a market-leading online and digital proposition for our customers is key to the future success of the Bank and we need the right people and skills to help us deliver this.

“Aside from competitive pay and benefits we offer comprehensive flexible working policies, along with initiatives to help colleagues develop their careers and ensure the right work-life balance, for example a mentoring scheme for new parents.

“We’re excited to be able to open our doors to both fresh talent and seasoned professionals with a range of backgrounds and skill sets who may not have worked in IT or financial services before.”
