Communications agency CDS has made three senior appointments it says are crucial to its ambitions of becoming a £50m company by 2020.

  • Sam Ineson joins to lead business development across digital services. He has spent the last 10 years as business development director at twentysix.
  • Mark Hessey joins to focus on business development across print, creative and digital service lines having spent the past 10 years at Irongate Communications.
  • Adrian Mullen joins as Creative Director. Mullen has experience at EHS Brann (now Havas Helia), Rapp and Millennium and has owned his own agencies.

MD Mark Gair, who joined CDS earlier in 2017, said: “I am thrilled to expand such talent into the team. We have strong plans to continue the business growth so hiring the best talent is critical to our success as we build our existing and new sector development.

“We are already seeing significant new business wins. The new appointments strengthen our position as we enter 2018, a major milestone on our way to achieving the £50m target set in our 2020 strategy plan.”

CDS employs 160 staff and is part of the Baird Group, which has 280 employees. It placed seventh in the Prolific North top 50 digital agencies of 2017.

Clients include National Rail, the Cabinet Office, the Metropolitan Police Service, the Ministry of Defence, Transport for London and Zurich Insurance.

CEO Fergus Bailie added: “This investment represents the first tranche of approximately £800k of investment the Board have agreed in order to help fulfil the growth objectives of the organisation.”
