Carousel bags Liverpool/Manchester hotel socials double

Carousel has been appointed by Lighthouse Hotel Management to lead the social media and influencer strategy for two properties in its portfolio – The Reach at Piccadilly, Manchester, a Marriott Tribute Portfolio Hotel, and The Halyard at Ropewalks Liverpool, part of IHG’s Vignette Collection.

The Reach at Piccadilly opened in July 2024 and stands out for its location only 90 seconds from Piccadilly Train Station, making it a perfect destination for corporate and cultural visitors to the city.

The Halyard at Ropewalks Liverpool opened in March 2024 and is the UK’s only Vignette Collection hotel. The boutique hotel also features the Voyagers Restaurant & Bar, which will be included in Carousel’s remit.

The agency will deliver an always-on social media, influencer and content production programme, incorporating brand campaigns and partnerships, seasonal moments and video production alongside overseeing the hotels’ organic social, paid social and influencer marketing strategies. Activity will be focused on increasing brand awareness, engagement and audience growth, while also delivering cost-effective overnight and F&B bookings for both hotels.

Jack Power, head of marketing at Lighthouse Hotel Management, said: “Carousel demonstrated exciting creativity, a really considered strategic approach for the two hotels, and strong existing credentials in our vertical. We knew very quickly they would be a fantastic fit for our business as we continue to grow our digital presence and bring our hotels’ stories to life online.”

Chloe Sharp, director of social media at Carousel PR, added: “Lighthouse Hotel Management focuses on properties with unique character and exceptional standards of hospitality. The Reach and The Halyard offer thoughtful design details, imaginative seasonal menus incorporating ingredients from local brands, and enviable locations that immerse guests in the culture of Manchester and Liverpool respectively.

“We are excited to attract new guests by strengthening the social media presence of both hotels through fresh content production, considered partnerships and strategic paid social activity.”

The appointment builds on Carousel’s growth within the hotels sector, which already sees it delivering award-winning Social Media, PR and influencer campaigns for hospitality brands across Liverpool, Manchester and the Peak District, as well as events such as Bestival and Van Gogh Alive.
