The company behind the Business Rocks events owed more than £47k to unsecured creditors.

The figures were released this morning by the company’s liquidators, with some companies being owed up to £10k.

Majority shareholder, Scott Fletcher put the company into liquidation earlier this month, telling Prolific North at the time:

“I invested to support Manchester at the time, as [founder – Jonny] Cadden had secured Steve Wozniak and I didn’t want the city to have egg on its face.

“Manchester has moved on and there is more happening now. I am not in the events business and anticipated other investors coming along, but this did not materialise.”

Tomorrow a creditors meeting with be held at the offices of RSM. Those owed the biggest sums are:

Pin Point Global Solutions (£9600)

Double Dutch in the Netherlands (£7260)

Hill Dickinson LLP (£6000)

Laurie Stone Communications (£5000)

Intuitive Design (£2730)

Wotra Kit (£2497)

IPS Law LLP (£2400)

Time Over Distance (£2400)

EBCS Leisure/Rach Marketing (£1848)

PDS Consultancy Services (£1800)

D2i Systems (£1463)

Prolific North has asked RSM about companies that pre-paid for tickets or stands at the event, because they weren’t listed on the schedule. We were advised that the company can only issue notice to those creditors “informed to us by the director.” Therefore that information didn’t include these companies and individuals, which are urged to get in touch directly.
