Manc Frank has been appointed as retained consumer PR agency by British Military Fitness (BMF) after a competitive pitch.

The Manchester agency has been hired to drive further brand awareness and engagement through creative ideas across multi-platform channels.

Operating as an extension to the in-house marketing team, Manc Frank will deliver a 12-month comms programme amplifying various key events and seasonal bursts of activity, in addition to maintaining an ‘always-on’ newsroom facility.

Founded in 1999, BMF holds outdoor fitness classes at over 140 venues across the UK, hosting 13,000 participants a week. Sessions are led by real, military-trained professionals.

Harry Sowerby, MD at British Military Fitness, said: “We are really thrilled to be working with Manc Frank and can’t wait to see the creative activity that is in-store over the coming months. It’s a really exciting time for British Military Fitness and because of that we needed a PR partner that echoed and worked with the same motivating enthusiasm. 2017 is set to be a fantastic year.”

Graeme Anthony, general manager of Manc Frank, added: “British Military Fitness was the catalyst that spearheaded the evolution of outdoor classes all across the UK and is today one of the leading brand powerhouses within the wider market.

“Their unique approach pushes people to achieve greater results that are underpinned by a personal support network and fun engaging community. A winning formula and core values that we mimic through our own agency beliefs.”

Manc Frank is part of Frank PR and also works with the likes of Regatta and Chilango.
