BBC Sport gets Champions League for first time

For the first time, BBC Sport will be showing every goal, from every game of the Champions League.

MOTD: UEFA Champions League is being filmed at dock10 in the same virtual studio as Match of the Day. It’s hosted by Mark Chapman and Gabby Logan.

They’ll be joined by experts including former Manchester City and Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart; ex-Arsenal player Theo Walcott; Villa, Bayern Munich and Stuttgart’s Thomas Hitzlsperger and former Manchester City captain Steph Houghton.

Analysis will come from Nedum Onuoha and Steve Warnock, while journalists Julien Laurens, Rory Smith, Guillem Balague and Nicky Bandini will provide additional news and updates.

“The BBC is going to be showing the best teams and players in the world this season. The ability to devour all the clips and goals on Wednesday nights and then see the big issues dissected and debated lifts our football coverage to a new level. And that backs up our brilliant 5 Live coverage of the matches themselves as they happen,” said Alex Kay-Jelski, Director of BBC Sport.

MOTD: UEFA Champions League will air at 10.40 on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
