BBC to debut Radio Glastonbury as music festival returns

The BBC has announced its coverage plans for Glastonbury as the music festival returns after a two-year break.

On TV, BBC One, BBC Two and BBC Four will broadcast over 30 hours of coverage this year.

Presenters will include Annie Mac, Edith Bowman, Huw Stephens, Jo Whiley, Laura Whitmore, Lauren Laverne, Mark Radcliffe and Zoe Ball.

On radio, listeners will be able to access all broadcasts related to the festival – across Radio 1, 1Xtra, Radio 2, 5 live and 6 Music – on BBC Radio Glastonbury, via its BBC Sounds app.

There will also be live performances, iconic archive content and special Glastonbury editions of BBC Sounds music mixes, including So 90s, The Morning After Mix and Road Trip Records.

Charlotte Lock, Launch Director, BBC Sounds, said: “For the first time, listeners can hear Glastonbury delights 24 hours a day, all at the touch of a button on BBC Sounds.

“Our curated BBC Radio Glastonbury stream will be live from Thursday through to Monday, making BBC Sounds the place for music fans who want an access all areas pass.”

BBC Radio Glastonbury will be available from Thursday 26th June to Monday 1st July.
