We Are Bradford

Bradford-born Harry Gration will be one of 10 BBC presenters taking part in a special week of programming called We Are Bradford from Monday.

The project runs from 11-15 March and is “from and about” the Yorkshire city. There will also be an exhibition in The Broadway Shopping Centre, which will be open from 11am to 6pm every day.

Look North’s Gration and Sabbiyah Pervez, who are both from Bradford, their colleague Paul Hudson, BBC Breakfast’s Nina Warhurst, Newsround’s Ricky Boleto and Qasa Alom from the BBC Asian Network will all take part.

The One Show and Radio 1’s Newsbeat will cover We Are Bradford throughout the week and many of the stories covered will run online. Look North’s evening programme will broadcast live from The Broadway on 11 March from 6.30pm, presented by Gration and Keeley Donovan.

The programme be live in Bradford all week at different locations each night. The exhibition will give people the chance to get hands on future technology in the BBC Blue Room and present a weather forecast. In addition, there will be the opportunity to chat to the presenters, to members of BBC Three’s casting team and to meet young BBC Apprentices.

Later in the week, BBC Asian Network will bring their Big Debate programme from The Broadway on Thursday 14 March. Qasa Alom will present the show live from 10am to 12.30pm.
