Commercial radio broadcaster and audio operator Bauer Media Audio has completed its acquisition of SharpStream – a leading provider of audio streaming software.
SharpStream is counted on by some of the world’s biggest brands to stream their audio content live to internet audiences, including high profile sports broadcasters like the ATP and Le Mans Racing Series, all the way through to niche, ethnic and community audio broadcasters.
SharpStream is already a long-term partner of Bauer Media Audio, owner of brands including KISS, Hits Radio and Greatest Hits Radio, across Europe. As part of Bauer Media Audio, SharpStream will be able to leverage the capacities of the wider business to continue growing and developing.
SharpStream currently provides services to seven of Bauer Media Audio’s local markets (Slovakia, Norway, UK, Sweden, Portugal, Denmark and Ireland).
Commenting, Vivian Mohr, president of audio, said: “I’m incredibly excited to be able to officially welcome SharpStream to Bauer Media Audio. In our time spent working together, we’ve been incredibly impressed by the team’s capabilities and outcomes, and look forward to working together further to enable new experiences for our customers and listeners alike.”
