Design, engineering and project management firm AtkinsRéalis has opened a new office in the centre of Manchester.
The 3 floors in Piccadilly Place will feature an immersive room, virtual reality area and zones for clients, teams and partners to visualise data, virtually access sites and collaborate online and in person.
It will bring together 1000 staff, who’ve previously been working out of offices in Greater Manchester and Warrington. They’ll specialise in transport, water, buildings & places, cyber security, nuclear and infrastructure.
“The North West is forging ahead with forward-thinking plans for place-led growth, from transport networks to city-wide regeneration and environmental improvements, and the city is well-recognised for its wealth of talent and growing digital sector,” said Colette Carroll OBE, Managing Director for Transportation at AtkinsRéalis.
“We’ve chosen Manchester as the location for our new North West Hub to support our continued growth in the region. It will enable AtkinsRéalis colleagues to connect with clients in and around the city that are driving this programme of sustainable development.”
The company employs over 12,000 people across the UK and has had a presence in Manchester for more than 20 years. The new central location will be close to its key clients, including Network Rail, Transport for Greater Manchester and Manchester Airport Group.
