Archant Lifestyle is investing in its Warrington titles, with the launch of Cheshire Resident and a relaunch of Cheshire Life.

The publisher said that it represented a “major vote in confidence” in the county.

Cheshire Resident is a glossy, high pagination monthly, which will be edited by Janet Reeder and distributed free to 20,000 properties valued in the £750k+ bracket plus an additional 5000 homes in affluent Manchester areas and a further 5000 going to “selected high-end businesses.”

Cheshire Live newIt will carry exclusive features, news and reviews, plus an entertainment guide and interviews with celebrities.

“These are exciting times for the company and these moves demonstrate our determination to remain as market leaders,” explained Archant Lifestyle’s northern publishing director, Rhiannon Wragg.

“This launch will complete our ambition of layering the Cheshire market with a super-luxury title, a much-loved and contemporary Cheshire Life and the niche lifestyle publication Living Edge. Together, they represent a formidable package for advertisers and readers.”

Cheshire Life, meanwhile, celebrates its 80th anniversary this year and the relaunch will include a new cover design, better paper stock and a change in lay-out to “reinforce the award-winning magazine’s editorial excellence.”
