Lime Pictures has named Becky Cadman as its new Creative Director: Formats and Talent.

Cadman has spent 5 years at Channel 4, as a commissioner for Factual Entertainment. During that time, she’s been responsible for The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan; Caroline Flack: Her Life & Death; Big Brother: Best Shows Ever; and Naked Attraction.

Before joining C4, she led format development on shows including Love Island, I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! and Got to Dance.

“Becky is a brilliant creative force, and one of the nicest people in the industry to boot. We will miss her enormously but look forward to seeing what she does at Lime,” said Alf Lawrie, Head of Factual Entertainment, Channel 4.

Cadman will join Lime in June, where she’ll focus on developing formats with global reach, as well as leading on-screen talent relations for new formats. This will see her report directly to Sarah Tyekiff, Global Head of Unscripted.

“I’ll miss Alf and the incredible risk-taking & talent breaking team at C4. I’m delighted to be joining Sarah and Lime at such an exciting time of growth both in the UK and internationally,” she said.

“Lime’s Unscripted slate already has a wealth of fantastic titles so I’m excited to be able to grow this output and work in a company with ambitious plans and such successful trans-Atlantic reach.”

Lime Pictures’ Unscripted department is currently in production with Dance Monsters, a new large-scale dance show with a “monster twist” for Netflix; Who Do You Believe?, a true-crime series, for ABC; and Match Me in Miami (wt), a look behind the scenes of an elite matchmaking agency, for Roku Originals. It’s also producing Series 30 of The Only Way is Essex for ITV.

“I am thrilled that Becky is joining the UK Unscripted team. Becky has an exceptional format brain and a track record of developing international hits,” said Tyekiff.

“She has fantastic talent relationships, and her understanding of the current market and youth trends are unrivalled. Becky joins at an exciting time as we continue to focus on exporting formats globally.”
