Social Chain has announced a trio of new hires.

Account director Neil Jones and UK talent director Rosie Potter (pictured) join from MediaCom North, while Ben Harris moves from Omnicom’s PHD Manchester Media to take up the role of sports account director.

Co-founded by Steve Bartlett and Dom McGregor in 2014, the Manchester-based agency now also has offices in London, New York, Berlin and Munich.

It owns over 100 digital communities including Student Problems, SPORF and GameByte, which collectively total over 80 million fans and achieve over 1.8 billion video views across social media each month.

Social Chain also works with clients such as Amazon, BBC, Superdry, Holland & Barrett and SkyBet. Earlier this year it announced plans to go public.

Jones, who has previously worked with clients including Hillarys Group and Alliaz, said: “Joining Social Chain whilst the agency is in a period of growth was an easy decision. My experience is acquisition heavy, so it’s a great opportunity for me to increase my own knowledge of brand advertising whilst still bringing a degree of conversion to the conversation.”
