The most recent is Jamie Macaskill, the Editor of the Hull Daily Mail and Grimsby Telegraph, since 2020.

He told staff that he was moving on to “fresh challenges and new opportunities.”

On Tuesday, Ian McNeal said he would be stepping down as the Editor of Teesside Gazette and Teesside Live – ending his 20 year career with the local titles.

Cheshire Live Editor, Frances Barrett also revealed that she would be ending her 10 year stint at Reach.

Alison Gow, a former President of the Society of Editors and Editor of the Daily Post in Wales said she was also leaving the publisher after 19 years.

The group’s interim Audience and Content Director for Video and Audiences said it had been a “wonderful, exciting and challenging – I’ve learned so much, worked with amazing people and made friends for life.”
