New performance director joins the Herd

Mark Preston

East Yorkshire integrated agency Herd has appointed Mark Preston as its new performance director.

Preston, formerly group performance strategy director at global marketing and ad network Reprise UK, has over 13 years of agency and performance marketing experience across owned, earned and paid media strategy.

He has also served time at agencies including Jaywing and Stickyeyes and worked with global brands including Dyson, Honda, Lloyds Banking Group, Cigna and Johnson and Johnson.

In his new role, Preston will be responsible for execution excellence across all performance marketing channels, ensuring that Herd’s proposition is future proofed and relevant to partner’s needs.

Ryan Saltmer, strategy director at Herd said: “Mark’s arrival aligns perfectly with our next growth phase, expanding our offering to enterprise businesses and ambitious brands all over the world.”

Preston added: “It’s an exciting time to be joining Herd as we celebrate the agency’s tenth successful year in business. We are on track to welcome more big-name partners to our roster, who will benefit from our proprietary technology and data driven strategy.”

Herd was founded in 2013 and saw 35 per cent growth during the last financial year. It predicts that 2023/24 will be another year of growth and promises some “exciting announcements” ahead.
