Liverpool-based creative agency OneMay has appointed Elly Knott as senior designer following a record year and a run of five pitch wins over the, traditionally quieter, summer months.
The new wins include a project to rebrand the town of Newton Abbot and long-term contracts with Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.
Knott joins from Manchester agency Jam, where she was hired as lead creative in late 2024, and brings more than 10 years of experience across brand identity, packaging, campaigns and digital design.
Having worked at agencies across the North West, she has also previously worked with several of OneMay’s existing clients. Her appointment takes the agency’s all-senior team to six.
In her new role, Knott will work across OneMay’s growing portfolio of brand, packaging and campaign projects for clients in the public and private sectors.
Lee Weaver, co-founder and creative director at OneMay, said: “We had hundreds of applicants, but Elly stood out from the start. Her portfolio was such an obvious match for the kind of work we do.
“She had already worked with some of our clients, and her process, thinking and level of craft aligned exactly with how we work. We’re really excited to have her in the team and looking forward to what we’ll create together.”
Knott added: “There’s some seriously great work coming out of this team across brand, campaigns and packaging. I’m already getting stuck into some exciting creative projects.”
OneMay’s previous work and clients include WAWA, the water brand founded by Australian former Chelsea striker Sam Kerr, for which the agency created launch ID and packaging, and rebranding Horlicks, Galaxy and PG Tips parent Aimia Foods for the first time in almost four decades.
