$10million turnover as Steven Bartlett’s start-up takes flight

Flight Story, the company founded by Social Chain’s Steven Bartlett and Oliver Yonchev is on target to achieve $10m+ (£8.4m) revenue in its first year of trading.

The marketing operation was established by the pair in December 2021 and now employs more than 65 staff.

Earlier in the year it completed its first acquisition, the communications firm, R. Agency, this was followed by purpose-driven creative agency, Nuevo.

“This year is only just the beginning of Flight Story. Emerging technologies are impacting almost every industry, meaning more and more businesses will need to capture the opportunities that an ever-changing world creates. We’re honoured to have supported so many industry changing companies,” said Yonchev.

The company focuses on communication for finance, emerging tech and disruptive brand. It says that it equips brands with “the people processes and technology needed to capitalise on this next iteration of the internet, or ‘digital wave’.”

“When I founded Social Chain, the focus was on leveraging the opportunities the adoption of social media presented to build the brands and products of the next generation,” explained Dragons’ Den’s Bartlett.

“Now, we are experiencing another shift in the digital landscape as the next iteration of the internet materialises. This is why we launched Flight Story – to facilitate now the next generation of products and brands not only realise the opportunities realised by technological advancements, but position themselves at the forefront”.

This morning Flight Story has also announced the official launch of its proprietary AI social analytics tool – Flight Deck. This follows on from its talent acquisition community, Flight Talent, which was released in November.

Flight Deck monitors and converts social media interactions, search data and paid media reach, cross-referenced with financial data. The platform is equipped with “Trending Tickers,” which applies several algorithms to look at the correlations between online activity and stock performance over the previous 7 days.
