Manchester-based integrated marketing agency Refinery is bolstering its team across its digital and social media, creative, planning and new business teams with 10 new hires following a period of sustained growth.
Uzoma Nwaogwugwu joins as joint head of social media, having previously held senior roles at Dentsu Creative, Medico Digital and Havas Lynx. She brings a wealth of experience from over 10 years in the industry working with a client list that includes Florette, Dr Schar, Ronseal and Nestle Health Science.
Mel Carey-Yard joins as fractional new business & marketing director. Carey-Yard also previously worked at Dentsu for 10 years, leading new business and client growth for the network’s gyro/Merkle B2B agency.
Also joining from Dentsu’s Merkle B2B, Bryoney Cartlidge takes up the newly created role of senior project & resource manager. Cartlidge has both client-side experience from working for Arts Council NPO’s such as Eden Arts, and agency experience from Dentsu and THG Studios.
3D animator Mike McCann joins the creative team’s growing motion department as 3D Animator. His skills have been honed working with brands like Dyson, Network Rail and The Royal Mint delivering TV ads and digital content.
Refinery’s growing team also welcomes Hayley Daniels as social editor, Ella Weedon and Lucy Morris as social account managers, Rachel Bradley as digital account manager, Joe Marshall as junior planner and Katrin Davies as senior account executive.
The new hires will join Refinery’s 50+ strong team to work across the agency’s client portfolio which includes Boost Drinks, WD40, Energizer, Deichmann and Akzo Nobel.
