Horwich Cohen Coghlan (HCC), the Manchester-based law firm, has appointed Sugar PR for a legal PR and content marketing brief.

HCC secures compensation and rehabilitation for people who have suffered a personal injury, major trauma or life-changing injury.

More than 200 people are employed at its office in Manchester. The team handles cases ranging from road traffic accidents to more complex clinical negligence and acquired brain injury cases. Lawyers at HCC are cited regularly in the Legal 500.

Rob Myer, director of HCC, said: “Our team successfully handles hundreds of legal cases every single month and we’ve got a good opportunity to work with our clients to share their positive experiences. We want to make sure that our message resonates with people who find themselves in the same position as our clients. We’re pleased to be working with Sugar PR who demonstrate a clear understanding of the evolving legal market.”

Pete Davies (pictured), managing director of Sugar PR, added: “It is important that people who have suffered a major injury understand that they will be well looked after when instructing them. We’ll be using a strategic combination of media relations, PR and social media to get that message across.”

Sugar PR was launched in October 2016 and also works with parking app PayByPhone and commercial law firm Fletcher Day.
