Blackburn agency brought in to fuel petrol retailer’s growth plans

The Kay Group has appointed Blackburn-based 21Digital to redevelop its website and social media strategy in support of its growth plans.

Established in 1972, the company – also based in Blackburn – is one of the North West’s leading petrol retailers, operating 19 outlets, all with convenience stores and car washing facilities.

Shell, BP, Texaco and Spar are the company’s principle suppliers along with retailing partners Greggs, Subway and Costa. The group employs over 240 personnel and serves over 200,000 customers a week.

21Digital employs 11 at its offices in Blackburn having doubled its retained client roster to 40 accounts last year.

Managing director Sam Fletcher said: “We are really excited to have been commissioned by The Kay Group to help them develop their digital presence and to deliver promotional and customer engagement campaigns through social media.

“Automotive is one of our targeted growth sectors so we’re able to apply lots of experience in helping The Kay Group meet their short and long-term ambitions, which we’re really looking forward to.”

Limitless PR has also been hired to handle The Kay Group’s press relations.
