Creative agency The Neighbourhood has been appointed to create a year-long tourism campaign to attract visitors from around the UK and Europe to Greater Manchester.

Following a three-way pitch to Marketing Manchester, the agency’s campaign started on Friday 28th July with a soft launch. A hashtag #cometogethermanchester was used by social media influencers and journalists as they gathered in the City to sample what Manchester has to offer.

The Neighbourhood Creative Director Jon Humphreys, said: “We are very pleased to have won the tourism campaign for our city.  We look forward to creating a powerful campaign to attract visitors to Greater Manchester and help boost the city’s UK  profile  and local economy further.”

Marketing Manchester MD Sheona Southern added: “The Neighbourhood are an innovative creative agency who represent Manchester’s talent and modern economy perfectly. As a local agency they understand the city and all it has to offer, this was clear in their pitch presentation. I look forward to working with the team to create a campaign that will put Greater Manchester on the global stage.”
