Darwen-based Crown Paints has returned to TV with an advert created by McCann Central and brokered by Omnicom Media Group’s PHD in Manchester.

The campaign was supported by an integrated online display, social media and VoD campaign.

It represents a fresh approach for Crown, building more presence during key decorating periods using multiple executions and shorter time lengths to tell a story across digital and TV platforms.

The campaign will incorporate online display to drive traffic to the online platforms, social amplification through Facebook and Instagram as well as interactive VoD formats.

The campaign will be running in bursts between 12th April to the 28th May.

Liz Hickson, MD at Crown Paints, said: “As the way people research paints continues to develop, it’s important we both keep pace with and stay one step ahead of their behaviour. I’m really excited about this new integrated AV and digital approach, which marks a significant shift in how we plan our communications.”

Rob Nicol, Managing Partner at PHD, added: “Crown is a great brand who have been leading the market for over 200 years, we’re really excited about this new strategy, where Crown is leading again, reflecting how today’s consumer buys paint.”
