Fast growing cloud-hosting company, UKFast, has appointed Chris Andrews as its director of service.

It’s a return to the Manchester-based firm for Andrews, who left UKFast 6 years ago and has most recently been heading up a specialist technical team at BSkyB to support public Wi-Fi networks.

“It gives me great pleasure to welcome Chris back into the business. His experience is invaluable and will help us to keep improving the UKFast experience and the support that lies at the heart of what we do,” stated chief executive Lawrence Jones (pictured).

“We’ve got big plans for the business this year and we need world class people to achieve those goals.”

Jones is planning to increase the headcount at the Manchester operation by 200 over the next 18 months.

“I’m thrilled to be leading UKFast’s latest investment into customer experience. My priority will be to drive service levels even higher, maintaining our position as the UK’s top hosting provider with customer care at its core,” said Andrews of the new role.
