New Pride Radio slot for BBC Newcastle’s Simon Logan

Longstanding BBC Radio Newcastle and Tees host Simon Logan is set to host a new show, Simon’s Retro Chart Show, on Pride Radio, weekly Saturday’s from 2pm.

Logan will take on the slot currently occupied by Pride’s Dance Weekend Hit Mix.

Logan joined BBC Radio Newcastle in 2009 and since November 2023 has hosted Simon’s 80s and 90s, which airs on a Sunday afternoon from 2-6pm on BBC Newcastle, and also airs on neighbouring BBC Tees. Logan has also previously hosted Fantastic 80s, and Ultimate 90s for BBC Newcastle. He will continue to host his current Sunday afternoon slot alongside his new Pride slot.

Prior to his stint in the North East Logan was a host for Viking FM and Radio Aire in the Humber and Yorkshire regions respectively, and hosted shows including the popular breakfast show Logie In The Morning.

Pride Radio, also known as Pride Radio North East, is a local radio station serving the people of the North East of England and broadcasts worldwide online. It is run by Pride Community Network Ltd; a not-for-profit organisation that aims to raise awareness of LGBT+ issues, health initiatives and promote social inclusion and diversity through broadcasts and events.
