Manchester tech start-up my2be has been given the Silicon Valley seal of approval after being appointed by Box to develop under-represented talent.

My2be has developed a bespoke mentoring programme for Box focused on developing under-represented talent and overcoming common learning and development challenges including employee engagement, onboarding and collaboration.

By accessing the platform, users can connect and engage with peers, mentors and mentees from cross locations, set objectives, organise meetings and measure their development – remotely and at scale.

Box is a leading cloud content management platform that employs 3,000 team members in nine countries

Adam Mitcheson, CEO and co-founder of my2be, said: “Having worked in a corporate graduate position myself, I’m acutely aware of the positive impact mentoring can have on someone’s career journey.

“As well as enhancing workplace development and boosting employee engagement, it has been proven to promote diversity and inclusion. The support network offered by mentoring has the power to break down geographical, hierarchical, societal and cultural boundaries – a major objective of Box as the organisation continues to expand globally.”

Simone Shorter, talent success manager of global programmes at Box, added: “Working with my2be has been incredibly helpful as we’ve run our company mentorship programme. The team has gone above and beyond in the early stages of programme development via consulting, providing expertise and sharing best practices.

“My2be is great at listening to our unique company challenges and capturing what’s most important in the modifications to the platform. They have also made in the moment adjustments to the platform to enhance the user experience.

“This has made rolling it out a seamless experience and has demonstrated to the users that the my2be team is committed to closely partnering with us to ensure our success. We’re grateful for all the thoughtfulness and all the work my2be has provided in getting our programme running.”
