Rise at Seven “aggressively” targets international markets with Jellyfish recruit

Roy Philbin has left Jellyfish to head up a new global organic growth team for Rise at Seven.

Philbin had been at Jellyfish for more than 7 years, latterly as its Organic Director, leading a 110-person team across SEO, content and Digital PR. Prior to that he was Head of Organic Performance at Latitude.

Moving to Rise at Seven, he’ll work alongside another former Jellyfish staffer, Chris Krizsak, who was head hunted to lead its European expansion.

Their arrival comes as the Manchester-based agency “launches aggressively” into international markets with a new organic growth function.

Carrie Rose, Founder and CEO of Rise at Seven, said it was “a killer hire.”

“Jellyfish is an agency I’ve admired for years. Having the duo join us, we are getting two great organic leaders with big-brand experience capable of managing multi-million-pound search accounts.”

Philbin the new Group Director, Organic Growth at Rise at Seven added:

“I first took an interest in Rise at Seven because of what they’re about as people. Then I learned a bit more and felt completely aligned with the vision for organic marketing here. Then I got a sneak peak into the tools and insight the agency has at its fingertips and fell in love. I couldn’t resist the opportunity to be part of something so special.

“I’m here to help build the next level of category-leading brands in search. And I believe in where Rise is going wholeheartedly. I’m already working on some exciting new briefs and some huge initiatives at Rise at Seven.”

Rise at Seven works with global brands including Red Bull, SIXT, Capital One, Quorn, Primark, JD Sports and SharkNinja.

“It’s not enough for SEOs to just know Google anymore. If you’re an SEO at Rise at Seven, you’re a multi-channel expert wherever there is a search bar,” she continued.

“We create category leaders on every searchable platform and the reshuffle of the organic team is to break down the silos and help brands become #1 in LLMs through true integration and consistent signals. I needed a leader who could lead this initiative globally for us and Rob was 100% the guy.”
