Manchester VC opens second capital raise for £15m AI Growth Fund

EHE Ventures has opened the second £1.5m capital raise for its (S)EIS AI Growth Fund, which invests in early-stage, AI-first businesses in the UK.

The fund backs companies at pre-seed, seed and Series A stages and is aiming to deploy £15m in total.

It has already deployed its first tranche, raised from sophisticated and high-net-worth investors, across eight businesses, with Cohort 1 comprising Deltabase, Fotenix, Good With, NeuWave, Peppercorn AI, Scooch, Spotlight Pathology and Subjct.

The companies operate across a range of sectors, from medtech and fintech to marketing, agri-tech and marine tech.

EHE invested in Cohort 1 alongside Deepbridge, PXN, Q Ventures and River Capital.

The fund is structured under the (S)EIS – Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme – and the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) and is managed by Infinity Asset Management LLP, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

The fund is not open to public investment. It is available only to investors who meet the relevant regulatory criteria, and further details are available directly from EHE Ventures.

EHE Ventures is part of Manchester-headquartered EHE Group, which also includes EHE Venture Studio – the initials EHE stand for Entrepreneurs Helping Entrepreneurs.

The studio provides AI and software engineering, AI consultancy and fractional CTO services, and the group’s advisory team provides coaching and mentoring in areas ranging from intellectual property and research and development to go-to-market strategy and investment readiness.

Group co-founder and chief executive Guy Remond (pictured, right), who is leading the Cohort 2 raise with venture principal Troy Wood (left), said: “AI has produced a generation of UK companies with credible ideas and capable founders.

“Cohort 2 will continue the approach we took with our first eight investments, backing early-stage, AI-native British businesses at pre-seed, seed and Series A stages. We are aiming to deploy the capital raised by the end of the tax year.”

Phil Spratt, co-founder and chief executive of Liverpool-based investee company Deltabase, an AI-driven people and culture intelligence platform, added: “EHE Ventures has added value well beyond the capital. The team’s advice comes from genuine, hands-on experience. They have given us development capability when we have needed it, and are consistently connecting us with the right people across the ecosystem.”
