True North is to make a second series of Yorkshire By The Sea for Channel 4.
It will also be producing a sixth season of Devon & Cornwall.
The Leeds-based production company will make 5 episodes of Yorkshire By the Sea, celebrating the people and coastal landscape of England’s largest county.
Filmed across the 100-mile stretch of shoreline from Saltburn and Scarborough to Spurn Point it will follow locals as they work in the region, but also face a fast-eroding coastline and the realities of climate change.
In Devon & Cornwall, which also returns with 5 episodes, teams will follow daily life in the South West from the viewpoint of locals, villagers, farmers, fishermen, shopkeepers and those working across the tourist industry.

“What better way to spend the summer months than filming in both Devon, Cornwall and along the Yorkshire coast, meeting some fantastic characters and exploring fascinating lives,” said True North’s Creative Director, Christian Hills, who is also Executive Producer.
